Back to life, finally

I'm finally returning to real life this week after the International Alsace Varietals Festival last weekend. It was a great event, with double the wineries, press and consumers than last year. I have to say, though, having only formerly done press and trade events, that it's EXHAUSTING. I think I still have an event-over.

One thing I do have to mention is how interesting it was to see people come from all over the states and beyond to taste white wines. They were enthusiastic, but laid back about it - not like many red wine events that I attend. It was relaxed and calm. You saw people taking notes, but not stressing out about picking their favorite of the tasting and giving it a rating on the 100-point scale. It was refreshing. But rather than go on and on about the event, here are some photos of the weekend:

That must have doubled the population of Boonville :). That was at the fairgrounds, right? I don't think I've ever seen that building look so nice.
Oh, it was no big deal. It only took a full week to decorate. :) Thanks for noticing, though!
